Conscious Connections Integrative Psychotherapy
Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy for Attachment Trauma, Chronic Overwhelm, Anxiety & Highly Sensitive Adults
Psychotherapy in Port Elgin, Ontario & Online Across Ontario
Laura Lockhart is a Registered Psychotherapist offering trauma-focused, integrative psychotherapy in Port Elgin and online across Ontario.
Many people come to therapy after years of self-awareness, insight, and talking about their struggles, yet still feel stuck in the same emotional patterns. Healing requires more than understanding yourself intellectually. It requires safety, connection, nervous system regulation, and the willingness to work at the root.
If you feel stuck in patterns you cannot break, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or like you have insight but nothing is actually changing, you may be experiencing the effects of attachment trauma, nervous system dysregulation, chronic overwhelm, or relational trauma. Therapy can help you move beyond survival mode and create meaningful, lasting change. Laura offers integrative, trauma-focused psychotherapy that supports both mind and body. Her work draws from psychodynamic, somatic, experiential, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and Pain Reprocessing Therapy to tailor each session to the individual. Rather than focusing only on coping strategies, this work helps clients understand the deeper emotional wounds, nervous system patterns, and relationship dynamics that continue to shape their lives.
While virtual psychotherapy is available across Ontario, in-person psychotherapy is available in Port Elgin, Ontario, and equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions are offered in Queensville, Ontario.
Laura works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, overwhelm, attachment trauma, chronic stress, and relationship difficulties. Many of Laura’s clients are highly sensitive, empathic, and self-aware people who have spent years questioning themselves, prioritizing others, walking on eggshells, or feeling disconnected from their own needs, voice, and sense of self.
Laura brings an intuitive, attuned approach to therapy while remaining honest and direct about the patterns that may be keeping clients stuck.. Her approach is compassionate, grounded, and focused on helping clients rebuild self-trust, boundaries, emotional safety, and a stronger connection to themselves.
Her practice is holistic and may include hypnotherapy, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and equine-assisted psychotherapy. Psychedelic integration therapy supports clients before and after psychedelic experiences, including experiences involving psilocybin, ayahuasca, or ketamine. Laura does not administer or provide psychedelic treatment.
Laura is neurodivergent affirming, a 2SLGBTQIA+ ally, and committed to providing a trauma-informed, inclusive space where clients feel deeply seen, respected, and understood.
